- Frasier suggests the drinking song, Libiamo Brindisi from La Traviata. Niles disagrees, saying that it is from Rigoletto. Frasier was correct.
- When Niles shows up to Fraiser's apartment in a head to toe fisherman's get-up, he says "Call me Ishmael," referencing the first lines of the classic novel "Moby Dick."
- Frasier says he hates ice fishing and doesn't know much about it. However, in the Cheers episode "Fools and Their Money", Frasier goes ice fishing in Nova Scotia to calm his nerves about Diane--he even goes back.
