Momma Mia is the premiere of Season 7 on NBC series Frasier.

HAS FRASIER FOUND HIS ROMANTIC 'MOTHER LODE'? -- Frasier (Kelsey Grammer) blithely thinks he's found the perfect love match in Mia (guest star Rita Wilson, "Runaway Bride"), a doting and nurturing children's author who stuns Niles (David Hyde Pierce) and Martin (John Mahoney) when they recognize her as a twin replica of Frasier's late mother. While Niles and Martin vow not to point out Mia's lookalike qualities to Frasier, the situation grows more grim when all four go away to Martin's mountain cabin to celebrate his birthday with peace, solitude—and old home movies.

Roz has fixed Frasier up on a blind date, but before she turns up at Café Nervosa, Frasier has already introduced himself to another woman at the counter; Mia Preston a children's author whose books he used to read to Frederick. He finds her intriguing, and they begin to date. When Niles and Martin meet her, they are startled to discover that she looks just like the brothers' late motherHester, a fact of which Frasier appears blissfully unaware, though Niles can barely restrain himself from pointing it out. The three Cranes plan to spend the weekend at a cabin where they vacationed years ago to celebrate Martin's birthday. As a gift the brothers bring old home movies transferred to videotape. Frasier finally sees the resemblance when watching the home movies, in which his mother appears, and realizes to his horror that he is dating her spitting image.
