Ned Miller is a guest character in Season 1 of Frasier, portrayed by John Glover.
Story[]
Ned is the first station manager of KACL seen. Bulldog Brisco has a physical fight with him, when Bulldog thinks he was going to be fired. Miller himself is fired, after dispensing with the services of Frasier Crane, because the station wanted to cut his high salary. He is replaced as station manager by Tom Duran.
Miller is married, but his wife supposedly hits on other men. While never seen again in the series, he is referred to later in Episode 12 of Season 1, where Frasier thanks him for retelling of how he was mugged on the way back from a soup kitchen (implying that he had become destitute and/or homeless since being fired from the station).
